by Sometimes when you have a crappy morning and get to work, there’s a happy little surprise waiting for you at your desk… Like a disc of my family pictures from Patrick Frost!
Unfortunately I had a meeting right away when I got to work, so I had to wait. And stare at the CD. Patiently. (Yeah, right!)
As soon as my meeting was over, I was flipping through the pictures!
She’s a ham… and she looks a little too grown up for me in some of these… I don’t know if it’s the pearls and glasses or what!!
She insisted on wearing mommy’s ‘pearl’ earrings. It’s now been weeks and she still has refused to take them off!
She had fun playing in the leaves – I was really worried about the weather beforehand, it had been freezing cold, and I didn’t want pictures of her in a winter coat. Somehow it miraculously warmed up and was perfectly sunny for picture day!
Some of her outtakes were of course, hilarious. She kept sticking her fingers in her armpits for some reason unknown to me. Patrick is a great photographer and is also the Daddy of Averie’s friend Lucy, so she wasn’t shy – she knew who he was and for the most part, followed his instructions… …as well as a 3 year old can anyway!
We got a few family shots in and she wasn’t afraid to show off her attitude either. Hands on her hips has been her favorite move lately when I’m giving her some sort of instruction…
As I was flipping through them, I stopped IMMEDIATELY on one and noticed it matched the image on my mousepad that Sarah took from her 1 year pictures. She’s grown a lot…. Like I needed another reminder after my pumpkin patch picture post!
Now I just have to decide which ones we’ll be putting up on the wall, and which ones to use for our cards this year!! Decisions, decisions……………….

Scary, isn’t it?! I want to find pictures of Aaron and I at the same age and compare those too – I always love comparison pictures of kids and their parents/siblings…
She is so friggin’ cute!!! She has a smile that warms the heart. I’m so glad I am related to this little girl. And so glad it’s not me that has to pick and choose with these pix. Thank you for sharing. Can’t wait to get my copy. Love ya lots!!!
