by Everyone always talks about how hard it is to leave their babies behind… It was hard for me to leave Averie when she was a few months old for a trip to KOP.
This will be the first time leaving AJ home while I travel for work. I had to leave him for Thanksgiving, but he was still inpatient at that time at CHOP and the next time I saw him was on his first transfer back to Iowa.
It’s only a couple of days in Austin, but I’m sure I’ll drive Aaron crazy asking for updates and checking in, especially since AJ has been slightly under the weather the last few days. Though it hasn’t really affected his mood any at all – as the pictures and videos from the last couple of days show. 😊
So… We will take any prayers we can get that AJ is feeling better soon and that both of his parents survive the next few days! Thank goodness for home nursing who I know will be keeping him out of trouble too so dad can get a break and grandparents who are amazing at helping out with both of our kiddos! Don’t think we could ever thank them enough!
