by Friday I picked Averie up from Camp Wyoming, watching her perform in their musical, and then treated her to an evening at the Jones County Fair.
I had a “mom fail” moment when I realized I didn’t have any cash and didn’t know my PIN code to pull more out… we were able to get in the gate and eat with using my card, but rides and games are cash only. I had $10 to my name. She walked around the park for 45 minutes trying to decide the best way to spend her $10. Once she did that we went back to my moms where Nana came to the rescue with some more cash. I was really proud of how hard she worked to make a good decision with her $10 though!
Also – she rode rides that I certainly wouldn’t get on these days, and I’ve decided that next year she needs to go with a friend so they can ride together — I got nauseous on just the Ferris wheel! (Side note, she first decided to spend her $10 on her and I going on the Ferris wheel together)
