The extra tubes are gone, except the art line which will likely go tomorrow, and his incision is healing, but true to his nature, AJ never does things simply.
This afternoon he spiked yet another temp. He’s already being treated for culture-negative sepsis because nobody can figure out quite what’s causing him to spike these temps. Depending on what the labs and bloodwork show we may start another course of antibiotics.
He’s also fluid positive again and swelling up, which makes it harder for him to breathe, so he’s back up on his ventilator settings as well.
If we could get the temps and diuretics under control we could start more towards heading back to Iowa… AJ is just reminding us to take things one day at a time I guess!
