by I don’t even know if there are words for how amazing this event is. The zoo is opened for special needs families for the evening by invitation via various local organizations.
Entrance is free, activities are free, even dinner And a souvenir is free.
Everyone was so kind and understanding… Averie filled out a feedback form at the end and her only suggestion was to make it last longer.
AJ struggled to really see the animals, except for the giraffe. The girl working the indoor feeding station was amazing and made sure AJ was able to get in close to the action and that I could get photos.
We also stayed at a hotel overnight, Averie and AJ both were excited to get some swimming in!
