Friday AJ got a new reverse walker to try out. He took off like it was nothing on his first day using it. Our OT suggested we keep him on the carpet for the first week where it went slower, but he’s been having none of that and has been all over the house with it. Our goal will still be independent walking, but this gets him some independence now while we still work on it.
He also got the most amazing bubble wand ever in a gift box full of amazing goodies from Lasairiona. He absolutely loves it and has figured out how to turn it off and on. The rest of us all also enjoyed our treats too.
AJ will be going back out to Philadelphia at the end of May to follow up on how his airway is healing and to discuss next steps — both with ENT for his airway and cardiology for his heart. Hopefully this will be a much shorter trip and we will be home within a weeks time.
Averie got to go to Bring Your Child to Work day with me last week. It turned out to be a crazy day with a number of fires, but thankfully the office has a ton of stuff planned. She had a great time and got to hang out with some of my coworkers kids, some she hadn’t “seen” since she was only a few months old, and even managed to have a conference call with her new friend Penny who was in the KOP office.
Aaron’s doing Aaron things – like working on our basement remodel and cleaning out the garage. Oh, and driving me insane playing with Averie’s coding app for school… 🤣
As for me? I’ve been keeping busy, trying to stay organized, possibly expanding my collection of nerdy bullet journal supplies more than necessary, reading more and pushing myself out of my comfort zone attending events and meeting new people, like working out with some girls at the library here in town, and last weekend when I met up with the girls from N e s t.
