I’m so overjoyed at this point that I’m at a loss for words. He looks so much better – his stomach and even his foot are less swollen and his color is good. They did have to leave his chest open in case of bleeding or swelling, but they will close it in the next 2-3 days.
The surgeon was happy with how the procedure went, he was done sooner than we expected even. The surgeon and fellow and all the staff have let us know to expect him to have a little downward slide in the next 6-8 hours or so. Right after he came out of OR he had some blood pressure issues that have resulted in him being back on epi and getting a bit more blood. But overall, he’s doing great!
I don’t think we could ever thank everyone enough for your prayers, but we are hoping we can get a few more prayers yet for a smooth evening and a quick, stable recovery. ❤️
