by Things that make my heart happy? Seeing these two spend time together.
Averie got to spend time today at the hospital hanging out with the child life folks and doing activities. She went to the salon and had a feather and color put in her hair, nails painted, and came back with a bunch of temporary jewelry and tattoos. She also decorated masks for herself and AJ to be super heroes and wrote a book about their super powers. AJ was more interested in eating his mask, but we got it on eventually. 😊
We thought were going to move down to another floor today, but we are stalling an extra day or so to make sure all of the docs are on the same page. We are excited for the next chapter in our journey, but also are a little hesitant. We will definitely miss our PICU family. In the end though? 2J is one step closer to home. And we are definitely ready to go there.
