Today was an incredibly busy day! We all survived the fun walk around the trail by the sag wagon for Step Up for Down Syndrome 5k/walk benefiting Hawkeye Area Down Syndrome Association.
Even AJ made the trek around the path, despite the crazy heat! It was so nice that so many of our friends and family could join us!
We are so thankful for all that HADSA does for our community and it was nice being able to give back. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped support the fundraising efforts!

We also celebrated the engagement of one of Aaron’s nephews. Congratulations Brandon and Justine!!!
This walk was perfectly timed – as this weekend is our last weekend of exposing AJ to new people and places. We are tentatively set to return to CHOP for appointments on October 12th for his airway repair evaluations – sooner than we had anticipated – which is great, but unfortunately it does mean that we will have to hold off on any additional get togethers with new people between now and then in favor of making sure he stays healthy. We don’t know yet how long to expect to be out there, but we will keep everyone updated and will look forward to catching up with everyone once we return!
