Guess who is waking up??
He’s still coming down off his meds, so he’s still pretty out of it, but he’s taking a few breaks from his naps to look around and wiggle his arms and legs slightly and has already “suffered” a bout of hiccups that didn’t seem to bother him in the least.
It’s so good to see his eyes open again and see him moving around. He’s such a trooper!
Now we keep at the struggle of balancing his meds to keep his blood pressure where it needs to be to try to drop some of the support. We might even get to resume some feeds tomorrow, no guarantees, everything is definitely at his own pace. If his BP doesn’t stay stable as he wakes up they’ll probably have to knock him back out again and try again until the right balance is found – here’s hoping it stays where it’s supposed to be soon!
Aaron was dropped off at the airport this morning for his trip home. Not sure yet when he will be back, but I suspect we will bring Averie down at some point so she can see her brother and mommy can take her off to explore the city while daddy gets to hang out with AJ.
We did get into the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald house today, so we are packing up and moving this afternoon/evening and will be closer to the hospital going forward.
Please keep the prayers coming for his recovery. We still have a long road to go!
