“Welcome to 2J” – those were the words we heard from the cardiology team before even being assessed yesterday morning.

Sometimes a simple cold is far more than just a simple cold – especially when your airway is compromised as it is. Things can change in just a matter of seconds. And what’s a simple cold for one person, turns into a slew of IV’s, tests and extra support for this person. (and in case you’re wondering, when you’ve been in a hospital as much as he has, it’s HARD to get an IV in place… to the point that sometimes they have to use your head – even when you’re past the age when it should happen… and he is not happy about it.
