It certainly wasn’t a picture perfect Halloween, but it was as good as we get around here!
I’m still recovering post op. Struggling with pain vs the nausea from the pain meds. Hopefully that ends soon!
AJ is still on the “snotty” side. But he’s in his usual good spirits. He wasn’t quite sure of what to make of his costume and didn’t think my act of putting something on his head was very funny.
Averie and Daddy were in good spirits though!
We did all walk down to Turner hall for the kids costume contest and dinner. It might have been pushing my luck a little, but it was AJs first Halloween at home and I wanted to manage to escape with him for just a little bit. Aaron even got dressed up for the gig. AJ didn’t get to participate in the costume contest since he was in the middle of a gag/puke/set off all my alarms spell, but we got him settled and through it – just in time for another one. While we are used to his spells, everyone around us isn’t and it can be stressful trying to navigate everything without drawing attention to yourselves. But – we made it through! Averie went off to trick or treat with friends and we went home to pass out candy and get AJs next feed and meds in.
Outside of that. No big news. I’ll take that. I told everyone in the house today that all mommy wants for Christmas is a dull moment, and that Id be happy to get it early anytime!
